Linda Sue Preston

Linda Sue Preston January 15, 1950 – November 10, 2024 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Sue Preston, 74, of Flower Mound, TX. Linda was born on January 15, 1950, to Evelyn (Kraatz) Taylor and Robert Taylor in Dallas, TX. She grew up in Grapevine and Irving and was a member of the first graduating class of MacArthur High School. Linda would go on to attend Mountain View College, where she would maintain a spot on the dean’s list. Her work years were spent moving into positions of increased responsibility, where she would achieve an inside sales position, where she thrived. She enjoyed many years of high-performance achievement in her work that provided her with numerous incentive trips, namely Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Linda enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was often found relaxing in her favorite chair, playing Sudoku, and watching sports on her TV. Her weekend road trips with her daughter were the highlight of her week. Yearly trips with her family to Hot Springs were one of her most cherished traditions. Linda loved to plan and coordinate family gatherings as it served as a way to bring together those she cared about most. Linda cherished her family above all else and spent her time supporting, celebrating, and caring for them. She was always present at every family member’s award ceremony, sporting event, concert, and event. Her home was a place of comfort and celebration and was the center of almost every family gathering. Linda was affectionately known as “Mom” by all who knew her. Her home was always open, ensuring all who entered felt loved, appreciated, and welcome. Linda will be dearly missed by all who know her. She was known for her compassion, generosity, and unwavering kindness. Linda was not only a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, but a true friend to everyone she knew. A large loving family survives Linda. Her children, Paul Preston, Jennifer Beatty, and their spouses Sarah and David. Four granddaughters, Amanda Preston, Emily Preston, Alex Blackburn, and Gracie Beatty. Four great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Andrew, Ryker, and Owen, and two soon-to-be great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her two sisters Cynthia Stone and Donna Janides. Linda is reunited in heaven with her parents, Evelyn and Robert Taylor, and her brother Randy Taylor. Linda’s memorial service will be at the Rolling Oaks Cemetery Pavillion in Coppell, TX on January 15, 2025, at 1 PM.
