Billie Jean Hale

Billie Jean Hale, 95 years young of Flower Mound TX, was born March 3rd, 1929, in Hedrick OK., and died October 7th, 2024, at home in Highland Village, TX with her family by her side. Ms. Hale was an active member of the Church of Christ her entire life. Billie loved the Lord and everyone that she met was a friend. Billie graduated from Roswell High School in Roswell, NM where she was in the band and other social clubs. Billie was very involved in her hometown; she was the drum majorette of her High School and played the clarinet in the band. Billie then attended Abilene Christian College where she met the love of her life, Jim Hale. Jim and Billie were married on February 5th, 1949, and had three children. They moved to Amarillo, TX in 1961 and then on to Hereford, TX in 1965 where Mrs. Hale lived until August of 2019 when she moved to be closer to her family in Flower Mound TX. Jim and Billie were active members of Central Church of Christ, in Hereford, TX. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Jean Wylie of Flower Mound, TX and her husband Loy. Debbie Abraham of Mansfield, TX and her husband Ernie. And her son Mike Hale of Richardson, TX and his wife Wendy. Billie was also survived by six of her grandchildren as follows. Michelle Steiner of Highland Village, TX (Stephen). Jason Wylie of Carrollton, TX (Jennifer). Shana Beaty of Burleson, TX (Ronnie). Justin Hale of Conroe, TX (Erin). Megan Trevino of Mansfield, TX (Danny). Jenni Hale of Carrolton, TX (Leland). She was also survived by many great grandchildren and spouses, as well as family, friends, and other loved ones. Preceded in death by her parents O.D. and Exie Dishman of Amarillo, TX. The love of her life, her husband of 57 years, James A. Hale of Hereford, TX. Her grandson Jeremy Deavenport, of Arlington, TX. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation for all the staff at Rambling Oaks Assisted Living, staff at Aspen Hospice, and all the care givers from Living Well. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 to celebrate her life at Lewisville Church of Christ 901 College Parkway, Lewisville, TX, 75077.
