In Loving Memory of Audrey Queenelle Chilcott July 6, 1950 – July 10, 2025 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey Queenelle Chilcott, who was born on July 6, 1950. Audrey passed away peacefully accompanied by her family on July 10, 2025, just days after celebrating her 75th birthday. As an only child in Vernon, Texas, Audrey was the beloved daughter of David and LaDelle Kerley. She grew up in a home filled with love, hard work, and strong family values. She was a cherished friend to many. Audrey had a strong and independent spirit, a quick wit, and touched the lives of those around her. She spent her final 25 years living in Corinth, Texas, where she enjoyed the comfort of family, a strong bond with caring and supportive neighbors, and her beloved Dobermans. Audrey dedicated much of her professional life to her work at Rapistan Dematic, where she formed lifelong friendships and earned the admiration of her colleagues for her integrity, reliability, and dedication. Audrey met the love of her life, Gene Floyd Chilcott, in the late 1970s. They shared an inseparable bond rooted in deep friendship, mutual respect, and a common love for Dobermans. After many years together, they were married in 1993 and enjoyed a loving marriage until Gene’s passing in 2012. Their union was a true example of enduring love, and Audrey often spoke of their life together with warmth and gratitude. She is survived by daughter Jackie Irey and husband Bryan, son Christian Chilcott and wife Lindsay, daughter Wendy Traughber and husband Jeremy, and 7 wonderful grandchildren, Megan, Chance, Kylee, Caleb, Garrett, Ella, and Leo. She is also survived by her very close cousins, Greg Cagle and wife Jane, Judy Wright and husband Glenn, and Karen Hardison and husband Joe Bill, as well as a wide circle of close friends and neighbors who will remember her with affection and admiration. Audrey will be greatly missed today, tomorrow and forever, but her memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and love she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed and forever held in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Operation Kindness, a no-kill animal shelter, a cause close to Audrey’s heart.
